12:59 PM ET 04.04 | Free-agent defensive tackle C.J. Mosley visited the Detroit Lions on Wednesday, and it appears that he is going to leave town with a deal. According to Adam Caplan, Mosley is expected to sign with the Lions, giving them some actual depth at defensive tackle. Mosley spent the last three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He started 13 games for the Jaguars in 2012 and had 45 total tackles, 2.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble. Earlier in his career, Mosley played for the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings. (And yes, Mosley was the Browns player who injured Matthew Stafford back in 2009.) With Mosley set to join the Lions, they now can establish their top three at defensive tackle. Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley will continue to be the starters, and Mosley should be the top backup at defensive tackle. The Lions also have Jimmy Saddler-McQueen and Ogemdi Nwagbuo, but they will likely be competing for a roster spot rather than competing to be the top backup.
