06:45 PM ET 04.04 | As reported by Manish Mehta and Gary Myers from the New York Daily News, the New York Jets may be interested in the NFL Draft's top cornerback from Alabama, Dee Milliner. After all the speculation swirling around the Jets' top cornerback Darrelle Revis amounted to nothing, this may be a sign of where the Jets are heading. If the Jets do trade Darrelle Revis, Milliner -- considered the best player at his position in the draft -- would be a good replacement. The Jets have the ninth overall pick in this year's draft, so obtaining the cornerback from Alabama is not out of the question. Question is, should the team go for that position with the ninth pick? With other teams ahead of the Jets, and in serious need of secondary help, the Jets may have to trade up to draft Milliner. Would it be worth it? The former five-star recruit would be a great addition to the Jets secondary. He showed off his speed at the NFL Combine, breaking a 4.4 40-yard dash time, he is also athletic enough to read plays quickly and break on the ball in a hurry. He can play a zone scheme, man-to-man coverage and is physical enough to help on run defense. Milliner locates the ball well in the air and can be a ball hawk. If beaten at the line of scrimmage, his closing speed will help him out in time make a play for the ball.

Dee Milliner is most likely gonna be a good NFL CB but teams don't need to sweat it if they wind up missing out on him. There might not be any flashy offensive skill position players in this draft but there are a TON of really, really good cornerbacks.

Rhodes, Trufant, Banks, Taylor, Slay, Amerson, etc. These are all players who seem talented/physically skilled enough to excel at the professional level. I think you'll see corners going in the second and third rounds who wind up starting or at least playing nickel as rookies.

Jets should be drafting or trading for offensive lineman. Next...defensive lineman. Until they're solid at those slots just keep repeating.

This guy is no Patrick Peterson to be drafted in the top 5 . I think Dee is more of a product of the system in Alabama

Where is that picture from? Eyes closed, hands no where near the ball... please tell me he just scored and is about to do a no-look spin-the-ball-on-his-fingertips move or something.

Uh, unless that's Alabama's road uniform, I don't think he "just scored". In fact, it's more likely that's from the combine this year. His eyes are closed because he's dreaming of all the money he's going to make after he ran a sub-4.5 40.
