08:09 AM ET 04.05 | Not far removed from their extended winning streak, the Nuggets really didn't need this heading down the stretch. After crumbling to the court and needing to be carried to the locker room, an initial examination of Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari suggested a season-ending tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Thursday night. "The doctor indicated that the ligament was loose," one source told Yahoo! Sports. "They expect that it's a torn ACL." Gallinari will undergo a full MRI examination on Friday to survey the complete damage to the knee. ... [After driving on Dirk Nowitzki], Gallinari planted his left leg only to have his knee buckle beneath him.

they definitely miss his shooting in the second round of the playoffs. I am not a Nuggets fan but I hope its not a torn ACL. Lets make the playoffs more interesting

I think y're assuming they will make it past the first round without Gallo & their starting point guard...

Whew! I'm glad he's no longer a Knick. We have enough injuries.

Good morning all. I saw the replay of the injury...it reminded me of the way Rose went down. I hope it's not a torn ACL, but it sure looks like a bad injury. Sorry Nugget fans.

They should be able to beat the Warriors. Mark Jackson is still a Playoff rookie as a coach

Yeah - it was ugly. Never want to see that happen to a guy - especially now.

That was aweful! The way his knee went sideways - eww. He always has the feigned look of pain on a drive, but the instant he planted his face twisted. I said his season was done as I watched the closeup replay.

Thanks ST. We want to be full up if we face the Thunder.

and the warriors aren't that good.

Feel bad for Gallinari. An injury like that always sucks and sucks even more because the playoffs are nearly upon us.

The Warriors will surprise people in the playoffs. Matchups mean everything and they can cause problems for a lot of teams out West.
