08:17 AM ET 04.05 | So much for the suburbs. The Cubs and City Hall expect to nail down a $500 million deal by Monday's home opener that will allow the team to renovate 99-year-old Wrigley Field and develop property around the stadium by putting up "at least two" new signs inside the ballpark -- including a video scoreboard in left field -- and building a 300-space parking garage. One day after local Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) portrayed an agreement on all of the "moving parts" as nowhere in sight, two sources close to the marathon negotiations predicted an agreement by Monday that would allow rooftop clubs to continue operating for the 11-year "duration" of their revenue-sharing agreement with the Cubs.

Until someone gets killed by falling concrete - it just doesn't matter. It needs to be fixed - and now - or just tear it down..... it's not rocket science.....

Morning Clem.... slim pickins on the threads today. 3 threads about - "Oh really <sarcasm button depressed>", 1 about a guy focused on his own achievements, and 1 about hurt feelings.....

Watched some of the Botox, Yankmees game last night. Petite looked good for a 40 year old..... sharp breaking balls, 90+ on his heater, and good control... good game for him....

He pitched well. The Yankees really needed that performance.

Was kinda hoping for a sweep actually - just on principle ;-) .... but Andy deserved the win the way he was going....

Dempster didn't look so hot last night ... hope he can turn that around.

He gave props to Pettitte ...

"You look at what he's been able to do over his career. To come back out of retirement and pitch as well as he did last year, he's such a hard worker," Dempster said. "He's a guy you should look up to as a peer, because he does things the right way. He just knows how to pitch."

Dempster wasn't too bad. He just left a couple of pitches out over the plate - it happens. The problem was he was "just missing" for most of the night.....
