Ducks courting RB controversy

08:20 AM ET 04.05 | The most obvious fact is that Kenjon Barner's departure will translate to more carries for junior De'Anthony Thomas and sophomore Byron Marshall. But how those carries will be divided is something the coaches aren't even sure of quite yet. The 5-foot-9, 176-pound Thomas is next in line to start now that Barner is off to the NFL. But Thomas lacks the bulk to be expected to carry the ball 20 times or more on too many Saturdays. "I don't want to beat De'Anthony up a lot," UO running backs coach Gary Campbell said. "I want to give him 15, 20, maybe more reps in a game, and then I expect Byron to be able to come in and take up a little more of that slack."

I would leave DAT where he is... And get him the 15-20 touches on PR/KR/WR and RB...

Yep, I think Marshall can carry most of the load this season, he had some nice second half carries last season when he figured out how to run north and south. Tyner isn't even in Eugene yet for spring practices, I expect him to make an impact next season as a freshman.

That's probably what they'll do. Oregon knows how to use their speed guys.

What controversy? The coach stated that DAT will be used primarily the same as last year and Marshall and incoming 5-star recruit Tyner will be in the mix as well. And the Ducks will continue to kick ****.
Case closed.

Do as you have in the past, give the kid some good weed and he won't feel a thing. How is that drug testing thingy going at Oregon?
