12:45 PM ET 04.05 | This time it is for certain. Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez has said that the 2013-14 NFL season will be his final campaign. Gonzalez passed along the news during an appearance on Pro Football Talk's PFT Live. The Falcons are loaded with talent and have all of the tools in place to make a Super Bowl, which would be the perfect ending to Gonzalez's career. Just like the Baltimore Ravens used Ray Lewis' final run as motivation last season, Atlanta could rally behind Gonzalez and make it their goal to "win one for Tony."

Pro athlete retirement announcements are empty and meaningless. It's 50-50 as to whether or not this announcement even carries a shred of truth.

What's he going to do when they run through the regular season 13 -3 and get to the playoffs and are one and done. He'll be 38 and still in good shape. Think he changes his mind AGAIN?
