Ariza, Okafor not opting out

05:16 PM ET 04.05 | Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor both have player options in the final year of their contracts, and each intends to stay with the Washington Wizards and accept the money guaranteed to them. Okafor will make $14.5 million next season, while Ariza will make just over half of that at $7.7 million. In the ever-tightening world of NBA salaries, the Wizards expected both players to remain on the payroll in the final year, but it goes to show just how important guaranteed money is to players as opposed to facing a suffocating market.

Yeah......no way they were opting out. What they'll get next year, they'll NEVER see again in another contract.

Okafor sure makes a lot! I wish Ariza had not left the Lakers, he is what they need: athletic.
