05:14 PM ET 04.05 | The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of missing the playoffs. Or, making the playoffs, depending on which day of the week it is. Point guard Steve Nash will miss his second straight game, as he's already considered as a scratch when the Lakers play the Memphis Grizzlies Friday evening. Nash initially suffered the injury when the Lakers played the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 27. He has tried to play twice since then, only to be pulled out early. The Lakers have seven games left on their schedule and certainly want their starting point guard as they close out their season.

QUOTE(#2):

With Kobe being the distributor I think the team is better with younger legs on defense.

True, but even when Nash was playing Kobe was distributing a lot. Nash is a great option off the ball with his 3 point shooting.
