03:02 PM ET 04.06 | The Portland Trail Blazers are closing the season on a rough note, having lost seven games in a row after a 116-98 loss on Friday night to the Houston Rockets. And not only have the Blazers lost seven in a row, all seven of those losses have come by double-digits. After the loss to the Rockets, guard Wesley Matthews unloaded on the team. "The fans are sick of it, we're sick of it," Matthews said. "We've got to give them something to cheer about. Losing seven straight isn't it. We're playing a little bit harder, but not up to our standards, not what we're capable of. It doesn't matter that we're mathematically out [of the playoffs], this is the best job in the damn world. We've got to treat it as such. We've got to be men. We've got to play, we've got to come to work, until this is over with. We're not doing that. We need to play with some pride, man, we need to play with some pride. I'm trying not to cuss right now. We have to play with some damn heart, this is crazy, this is ridiculous. ... We've got to play like this is the blessing that it is. We're over here taking this for granted. We need to check our hearts at the door. We've got six games left. We lost seven [straight], come on, man, we're better than that. We've got to play with some damn heart." Matthews - who himself went just 1-of-11 from three-point range - vowed to address the team on Saturday before they take on the Dallas Mavericks Sunday.

The fact the Blazer team wasn't ripped apart by injuries as they've been in seasons past. This was a good season for the Blazers. As a fan, I didn't expect them to make the playoffs. This season was to develop the young players and avoid the injury bug.

Wesley is a great starting 2 guard and is vastly respected, and with lillard for the next who knows how many years and is only a rookie? I agree this is a rebuilding year and did better then my expectations. I'm ready for another diamond in the rough pick in the draft. S'co blazers!
