09:45 AM ET 04.07 | The Life and Times of Vancouver Canucks netminder Roberto Luongo isn't a soap opera, but maybe it should be. From superstar to backup, from signing a fabulous contract to one that "sucks," Bobby Lou is always a story. There is no need for a script because his tale seems to write itself. "I mean, that's part of life, you know," Luongo said Friday of his soap-opera type existence. "You're thrown into different situations and you have to find ways to handle them the best you can. I'm not saying that I've handled every situation in my life the best way I could, but I try." Luongo has no regrets either about his raw emotional display following the trade deadline. "I was emotional and I said what I said," he said. "Moving forward, I think it's important for me to be focused on being here and being 100 per cent focused on playing hockey. So I really don't want to be talking about anything that's happened in the past, or my future for that matter, except for my immediate future -- the next month, or two months, or hopefully three months. We'll have ample time once the season is over to answer your great questions."

We all will. Especially when Vancouver eats up half his deal..

Vancouver will only eat half his deal if it's made of tofu, wheat grass, and flax seeds.

Someone's been living the West Coast lifestyle I see..

Someone probably is but it's not me. I still think cheeseburgers are breakfast food.

Hey Roberto, Bella Lugosi called, he wants his hairdo back.Seriously though, it has to suck to be this guy. Not only does the whole world know that he's a fraud and a big game choke artist, but they also know that he has the IQ of a grape.

Yup....his Luongoose is cooked now.

Why should he regret any of his comments? They did cost him a penny!

Seriously though, the guy doesn't deserve to be vilified for being honest. He said what everyone already knew. His contract does suck. It is the single reason why he wasn't dealt. Would any of us NOT signed it? Doubtful. Term and security, on advice from his agent. He isn't saying it sucks to be a millionaire, which some of the media have painted. Too much piling on the dude.

Not for being honest although it makes great copy...

Not enough piling on.

The rest? Meh....
