Antoine Winfield to visit Seahawks this week

06:04 PM ET 04.07 | The Seattle Seahawks aren't done upgrading their roster yet, as former Vikings CB Antoine Winfield is scheduled to visit the team early this week. The veteran was waived by Minnesota at the start of free agency, and the market has been quiet on him ever since then. According to Larry Hartstein of CBSSports, the 35-year old vet allowed zero touchdowns in coverage in 2012, and graded out as the NFL's best run-stopping corner. He'd offer depth and competition at the nickel corner spot that Walter Thurmond is tentatively slotted in, barring injury. If Winfield signs with the Seahawks, he'd join Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner to form the best cornerback trio in the NFL.

Yes is is... and I still would not dismiss Jeff Fisher and his continuing work with the Rams.

I think he would be an awesome addition. He's a hard nosed sort, is he not?

Pretty surprised this guy hasn't gotten a deal yet. He's a player.

Winfield loves hittin' people. That aggressive style of play goes all the way back to his HS days.

Should fit right in with the Hawks defensive mind set.
