04:20 PM ET 04.08 | Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson was seen skating on Monday afternoon, which is the first time many have seen him on ice since his Achilles Tendon was lacerated on Feb. 13 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Obviously, that means Karlsson is back on the ice less than two months after sustaining the injury, which cut through 70 percent of the tendon. Despite the popular opinion that Karlsson would miss the remainder of the season due to the injury, he is still hoping to return this season. Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson stated on Monday that he has been texting with Karlsson and it is the 22-year-old's goal to return this year.

He should just take his time to be 200% healed......this season is a mess anyway........with too many games each week, his risk is even higher than in a normal season......maybe next year will be normal.

Gonna be interesting to see where the sens sit in a few games, they're starting to show that they are missing players.

If it wasn't for the fact that the Devils seem to want nothing to do with the playoffs, and frankly after that there's no competition...then Iwouldn't have rooted out the possibility of the Sens missing the playoffs. The flyers are just too far out with too little time.
