Kobe playing extra minutes by necessity

06:20 PM ET 04.08 | Behind the Utah Jazz in the standings, the Los Angeles Lakers don't have time to think about resting Kobe Bryant. Coach Mike D'Antoni simply doesn't feel like the Lakers can allow Bryant time on the bench. Against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, Bryant played all but a minute to score 25 points and record 10 assists. He only shot 6-for-19 from the floor, however, raising even more concerns that if the Lakers do indeed make the playoffs, they'll be doing so with their star player working with dead legs. "We're playing with a little bit of fire, and we wouldn't like to," D'Antoni said. "But we've put ourselves in a position where we have to. ??? He wants to go. He wants to do it. He has to know his body and he will."
