World Peace making early return

06:54 PM ET 04.08 | Less than two weeks after undergoing knee surgery, Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace says he will play Tuesday night against the New Orleans Hornets with his team on the cusp of playoff contention. For an injury that was initially given a six week timetable to fully recover, World Peace's quick return is nothing short of astonishing. The 33-year-old had surgery on March 28 to repair the meniscus in his left knee, a procedure that typically requires weeks of rest. L.A. wasn't expected to have the veteran back until at least the beginning of the postseason, but he'll return with the prospect of even reaching the playoffs suddenly in question. The Lakers are currently a half-game behind the Utah Jazz for the No. 8 seed in the West.

Gosh I hope the Lakers make the playoffs. It gives the Cavs the Lakers first round pick and I'll enjoy watching them get swept in round one.

LOL, have the Cavs "ever" made the NBA playoffs????
