08:29 PM ET 04.08 | For NFL teams and prospective NFL players, the final weeks leading up to the draft present an opportunity for each side to get a feel for one another. As the Chicago Bears enter the 2013 NFL Draft, the team can be flexible with their first-round selection. The Bears own the 20th selection in the first round and the team has to yet to show their hand. Entering the offseason, the Bears' top needs were improving the offensive line, adding depth to the linebacker position, and finding a tight end that can be an offensive threat. The Bears have appeared to fill all three of those areas through free agency. On the first day of free agency, the team signed offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod and tight end Martellus Bennett. In recent weeks, the Bears have signed free agent linebackers D.J. Williams and James Anderson. There has been speculation as to what the Bears will do with their first round selection, the idea that the Bears may trade their first-round selection has also been entertained by the team's front office. However, there is one clear option for the Bears and their first round selection. That option would be to draft the best available linebacker. Despite the additions of Williams and Anderson, the Bears still have a clear need at the linebacker position. Neither Williams nor Anderson are a long-term solution for the Bears.

"Entering the offseason, the Bears' top needs were improving the offensive line, adding depth to the linebacker position, and finding a tight end that can be an offensive threat. The Bears have appeared to fill all three of those areas through free agency." Well that settles it then, let's just cancel the season and give the Lombardi trophy to the Bears now.
