08:30 PM ET 04.08 | The Minnesota Twins are off to a somewhat surprising start (4-3) and could be buyers in the early part of the regular season. The Colorado Rockies designated right-hander Aaron Harang for assignment shortly after acquiring him from the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the intention of trading him to another team. The Twins are among a handful of teams that have shown interest in Harang, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com. Harang, 34, is owed $7 million this season with an $8 million mutual option or $2 million buyout for next year. The Rockies acquired $4.25 million from the Dodgers in their swap and, in turn, could be used in a potential deal with Minnesota. The Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros are the two other teams mentioned in Rosenthal's report.
