Kolb sees 'really special things' with Bills

08:01 AM ET 04.09 | How appropriate that a long and somewhat strange trip has taken Kevin Kolb to Buffalo, where the quarterback was introduced Monday. There was no Drew Bledsoe-style parade or a theme song performed by Tom Sartori at the news conference, but Kolb did convey a substantial amount of positive energy at One Bills Drive. "I'm here," Kolb said, "to win a Super Bowl. Period." When asked what Kolb saw in the Bills and led him to sign after being released by the Arizona Cardinals at least partially for salary-cap reasons, the seventh-year pro expressed his belief in an unfolding, serendipitous situation. ... "It just seemed like a lot of stuff was pointing in this direction. That's why I'm excited to be here and looking forward to doing really special things on the field once we get rolling."

I've seen "really special" things on a short bus, too.

I noticed he didn't say what year he's expecting that SB win to occur in or that he expects to win one every year...... :^)

Does Kolb also see dead people???

Yes, he's met Ralph Wilson.

I guess he see's himself as being some QB other than Kevin Kolb.

He sees stars every season, about 5 minutes before he's diagnosed with a season-ending KolbKussion.

But this is a MUCH better reply...well done.

Hilarious.

He's made of wax paper.

Buffalo's fans deserve better than Kolb. They deserve better than the Bills, too. Unfortunately, when Old Ralph passes on all they'll have is an empty stadium after the team is sold and moved.

Good stuff. Some very witty comments.... Honestly, if anybody can get the good out of Kolb it is Marrone. A good place for Kolb to be. Marrone instituted Paytons offense down in NO with Brees and made a prospect out of Nassib at Syracuse. The Bills OL and running game is not that bad. He will have two years to do prove his worth.

Dumping Chan G was a good move, keeping Buddy Nix was not. Marrone was an excellent move IMO.

Time for Kolb to "see" an optometrist.

April 9, 2013  10:35 AM ET

I see it too, Kolb.... I see it too.

He sees two of them every time his bell gets rung.

Well there you have it. Little did I know that Kevin Kolb was the missing piece of the Super Bowl puzzle for the Buffalo Bills. I can't understand how I could have missed that.

April 9, 2013  11:01 AM ET

If the O Line gives him some protection, something he didn't have in AZ, Kolb will do fine.

April 9, 2013  11:07 AM ET

I understand the desire to stay positive during a welcome press conference, but there's a difference between being optimistic and being unrealistic. He should have toned it down a bit.

In his defense, talk is the only thing that keeps him getting mysterious contracts in the NFL. No need on stopping now.

Their OL is not that bad. It is a good place for him. He has two years to make it or become a career back up.
