08:10 AM ET 04.09 | Bring it on. As Brandon Phillips sees it, the Cardinal fans ought to boo him. "They're doing their job," he said. "They're supposed to boo me for the things I said about the organization. I respect them for booing me." Phillips infamously called the Cardinals "whiny little" you-know-whats in 2010, leading to a big brawl. But he doesn't see it as sound strategy to boo him. Phillips went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored and made one great defensive play in the Reds' 13-4 victory Monday. "They've got to realize I love that (stuff)," he said. "I love it. They don't realize they're throwing gas on the fire. I feed off that. They're some of the best fans in baseball."

The Cards fans are very knowable and respective to great plays from players on other teams as well as their own. Yesterday they also cheered for your boy Choo when he came to bat for dropping two fly balls.

Choo more than made up for his misdeeds with his stick. He's a quick learner.

No they're not.

ALL fans of baseball are the best.

It showed yesterday the better team won.........they can Boo all they want then go home with there tail between there legs.

April 9, 2013  11:51 AM ET

The Reds deep bullpen kept them in the game until their offense woke up.

wiseup: The Reds fans boo Molina also. The incident that caused the boos happened two years ago. It's time for both fans to get over it.

wiseup:Reds pitching was masterful yesterday. had it not been for Choo dropping those fly outs to center. the Cardinals would have only scored 1 run. The 4 runs charged to Latos only one run was earned. Between the reds bullpen shutting down St.L. St. L. fans I,m sure were delighted to see Choo help ST .L. score 3 runs. But the Cardinals returned the favor in the ninth inning with their less than stellar defense helping the Reds score 9 runs along with Boggs unable to find the strike zone. With the bases loaded, Choo redeemed the 2 errors by hitting a double down left field line for a bases clearing double.

classy move by Latos going to Choo in the dugout after that 2nd dropped fly. you could tell he was saying 'don't worry about it man...i got your back'.

Choo is going to be a difference maker for the Reds, I believe.

The Cardinal bullpen has been brutal thus far. This should be a good race between the Cards and Reds.

The difference is that Yadi doesn't hear the boos because he has his two Championship Rings stuffed in his ears.

April 9, 2013  04:17 PM ET

wiseup: Isn't Molina suposed to wears those rings on his fingers instead

April 9, 2013  04:24 PM ET

wiseup : Molina stuffing those rings in his ears could cause damage especially when he puts his catchers mask on.

Yeah, good race all season perhaps. I wonder if Motte will be back?

Man, sounds like he's in jeopardy now with a ligament tear in his elbow.

I'm not sure what they'll do. I don't trust Boggs to close all season, and I'm not sure Rosenthal is ready for closing duties.
