Saints may be eyeing Lane Johnson

12:55 PM ET 04.09 | The New Orleans Saints have seemed like a team that almost certainly would take a defensive player to upgrade their defense that finished with the most yards allowed in the league in 2012. That was until Jermon Bushrod left in free agency to join the Chicago Bears, leaving a vacancy at left tackle, one that could be filled by Oklahoma offensive tackle Lane Johnson, who has a visit scheduled with the Saints on Tuesday. To get Johnson, though, the Saints would almost certainly have to trade up, as he is widely considered to be the third of an elite tier of three offensive tackles that are all expected to be taken in the top 10. That's a scenario that might not be out of the question for head coach Sean Payton, who told Jensen that the team's current situation at left tackle "keeps him up at night."

Sean Payton must not get a lot of sleep, then. Plenty to worry about.

No way Johnson is still available when NO picks unless they move up, as insinuated in the article.
