04:26 PM ET 04.09 | New York Rangers defenseman Marc Staal resumed skating this week. It is the first time Staal has returned to the ice since sustaining an eye injury against the Philadelphia Flyers on March 5. Staal was struck in the face with a deflected shot, which resulted in an orbital fracture. Many feared that the injury might have ended Staal's career and potentially caused him permanent harm. Fortunately, that appears not to be the case as he stated that he hoped to return this season. After skating on Tuesday, Staal stated that his eye-sight still hasn't fully returned and that he is having issues with his peripheral vision. In addition, he needs to build up his condition before returning to game action. He plans to wear a visor from here on out.

He's wearing a visor now. Classic locking the barn door after the horse is stolen.

But, been able to see good enough to avoid his brother Eric's shoulders is the BEST!
