04:48 PM ET 04.09 | Detroit Red Wings center Darren Helm is expected to miss the remainder of the 2013 season, according to head coach Mike Babcock. Helm has been struggling through back issues for the majority of the season and has only managed to play in one game. He was believed to be making progress in his rehab but ultimately he has failed to properly recover from lingering issues. Last season, he averaged 14:30 of ice-time including an average of 2:17 on the penalty kill. He is absence is felt most in the face-off circle as he registered a 51.9 winning percentage, which ranked him second behind only Pavel Datsyuk.

We were looking over our shoulders at the Oilers charging up fast but then .... their training wheels came off and they reverted to their old selves! Now (I can't believe I'm saying this) we're looking over our shoulders at the Columbus Blue Jackets climbing up our arses!

We still have Datsyuk and Big Z at the Helm but, if one of them goes down ... we're sunk!
