08:03 AM ET 04.10 | Dez Bryant finally had his breakout season in 2013, compiling more than 1,300 yards. He's also stayed out of trouble in recent months, a positive development you know Jerry Jones and Co. aren't taking for granted. Still, Bryant has found his way into the news. Two weeks ago, he caused a stir when he said he could become the first player in NFL history to finish with 2,000 yards receiving in a single season. In a Tuesday radio interview, Bryant explained that "the greatest thing about being on the Cowboys (is) people love to hate the Cowboys." Between the morning and the afternoon, something appears to have irked the playmaker. ... "@DezBryant: I'm never talking with the media outside of valley ranch all they do is twist your words...."

Dez, the outside world thanks you.

Ummm..... Dr. Dezzie... They are YOUR words.

The best handling of the media by a player was by Sean Taylor... He never talked to ANY of them.

I'm not sure which is a more Herculean task for Dez - a 2000 yard season or keeping his mouth shut in front of a microphone.

April 10, 2013  08:47 AM ET

Well the media isn't really reporting anymore, they just dig for something they can blow up or twist to make headlines when there are none. pretty pathetic really.

Media just reaching.. Pathetic.

April 10, 2013  09:12 AM ET

OK, but unless you stop the twittering, then you are also talking to the media who will then run with what you tweet.

Does this mean you will not make yourself available to the media Superbowl week? Rules say you have to, the only way to avoid that is , well, not to be in the superbowl.

April 10, 2013  09:13 AM ET

Talk on the field, Dez.

That's the only place it matters.

Shouldn't make promises that you can't (won't) keep.

April 10, 2013  10:31 AM ET

Now if he can just convince Jerry to do the same, the world will be a beautiful place........
