08:12 AM ET 04.10 | The streak is over -- probably. The Red Sox expect a less-than-sold-out Fenway Park for [Wednesday] night's game against the Orioles, marking the first time since May 15, 2003, that the ballclub has not played a regular-season game in front of a sellout. The club sold out Monday's opener, meaning the streak will end at 794 games, the longest in baseball history. "I'd say there's a good chance the sellout streak should end (Wednesday night), we anticipate that it will," said Red Sox COO Sam Kennedy [on Tuesday]. "I know we'll be over 30,000 (Wednesday night) but I don't know by how much. I'd guess in the low 30's and that's probably where we'll be at for most of the games in April."

This streak has been a sham for some time now.

It sure has! I wish they'd just admit it and move on. It's not the most important thing. The most important thing is the team playing its best, then the fans will come.

Good morning clem!

Blame it on the Orioles.

I sure wish the streak had ended while I was working in Boston. I haven't been to a game since I was a kid at a New England prep school. I think I saw Lincoln in the press box with his wife.

Rumors of Yankee demise were greatly exaggerated. CC is back in form, and Pettitte must be aging like Merlin.

We hope to get to at least one game this year, and pay a much more reasonable price than 2 years ago.

It would probably be cheaper to fly the family to Tampa and see the Red Sox there :)

In the summer? Hot and humid. I wouldn't mind it at a beach, but sitting in Tropicana under a closed dome? No thanks.

Baltimore.
