01:01 PM ET 04.10 | While the Dallas Stars won their third-straight game with a big win over the Kings on Tuesday, the push for the playoffs could have taken a bit of a hit. Goaltender Kari Lehtonen left the game late in the first period with what is described as a "mild" groin injury, and he'll be re-evaluated on Wednesday. Richard Bachman stopped all 22 shots in faced in relief.

"Mild" as compared to "medium." Nonetheless, can't feel good.

They abused the Champs last night. Stars TV announcers were wondering if they had any other big name players to get rid of to keep the streakm alive.

Let's hope his replacement's nickname is not Let-one-in.

There's a certain Russian goalie who may be available soon.

I cracked up when I heard that one...

Seriously - let's not trade Whitney.

Simplified game - they go north/south now and crash the net.

It's been a nice bump... and they stifled the Kings in the 3rd last night.

It's gonna be a tough jump from 9th - the schedule is pretty unforgiving and losing all these home games is going to bite them in the ****. But the future is here and there is hope.

Hey Kari, Laich says leave her alone she's his.

The fire sale allowed us to bring a youth movement that brought a bit more speed to the lines and a good injection of physicality. Although I love Jagr as a player, he just looked like he was in slow motion a good bit of the time. Morrow has been losing a few strides and getting rid of his inconsistencies has helped quite a bit. Dare I even say that Gogo has improved a bit since the sale? Hell, he might feel that his job is on watch since the youth movement has come up and shown no fear.

The way the kids are playing after the sale, Nashville should be a W if the game plan stays simplified. Sharks on Saturday will be a good litmus test followed by the Hawks on Monday. We'll know exactly where these kids stand starting Saturday night.

Bachman has looked good in the games he's played in. Unlike Campbell who looked like a fish out of water in his appearances. I just hope Kari is able to get back by Monday to face the Hawks as I feel it's going to be a very stiff challenge. We should fare better than the 8-1 thrashing the last time we played them.
