03:00 PM ET 04.10 | Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron is progressing towards a return, according to multiple accounts. Bergeron sustained a concussion against the Ottawa Senators last week and has missed time since. According to general manager Peter Chiarelli, Bergeron resumed his work out regime on Tuesday. He was also able to attend Monday night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes as a spectator. On Wednesday morning, he was able to resume skating, albeit on his own prior to team practice. Ultimately, these are all positive signs for the Bruins as Bergeron is arguably the most important forward piece on the team. With a playoff spot virtually locked up, Bergeron and the team will hope he is available by the start of the playoffs. No time-table has been determined for a return as of Wednesday afternoon.

As for Beregeron handle him with kid gloves i say......if he's 100% let him sit out 2 more games..just to make sure.

Good advice, the Bruins are already in the playoffs no matter what.

As I have read many times about "other" concussed players, he is one hit from retirement.

Agreed but, they don't need him. They have Jagr now.

Don't rush it Patrice, be sure.

my neighbor's half-sister makes $80 every hour on the internet. She has been fired for ten months but last month her pay check was $21040 just working on the internet for a few hours. Go to this web site and read more http://www.wow92.com

Is that the top half or the bottom? She could make more if it were the whole sister you know!

In fact, if you had to sit out the whole series vs. the Habs, I wouldn't consider that overly cautious. It's your health you know!!!!! Just sayin'

Like everyone else I agree. I wouldn't try to race him back. Bruins are in good shape right now. I'd keep him out for at least 2-4 more games.

...and off goes Marchand with a likely concussion. Luck hasn't been kind to the Bs...

This is excellent news. Bergeron is a terrific two way hockey player and all that, but he is also Boston's best face-off man, their best penalty killing forward and a lead by example kind of guy. This news coupled with the B's signing and securing the Swedish League release of Carl (Karl?) Soderberg sounds real good to me. We know what Bergie brings to the table, let's hope the big Swede can bring some scoring punch to the Bruins attack.

agree
