04:52 PM ET 04.10 | A bleak season for Colorado just got bleaker: Jordan Webb, who was the team's quarterback during their only win in 2012, has torn his ACL and won't be able to play in the upcoming year.

Webb, a graduate transfer from Kansas, tore the ligament in a non-contact drill, and will need surgery. The team hopes to get a sixth year of eligibility for Webb, who started for two seasons on the Jayhawks before graduating early and switching to Colorado, where he started at the beginning of 2012 for the Buffaloes. His 345 yards passing gave Colorado the win in a 35-34 game against Washington State.

Webb was far and away the team's best quarterback in 2012. It's not really saying much - he completed 54.3 percent of his passes, with eight touchdowns and eight picks - but the team's quarterbacks had three touchdowns against 11 interceptions, so Webb was the guy expected to get the job done in 2013. Now, first-year coach Mike MacIntyre will have to count on someone else.

Gunner could've OWNED the Buff's campus if he'd have gone there, but he'd have gotten his brains beat out on Saturdays.
