Heat teammates bring back LeBron's powder toss

08:08 AM ET 04.11 | LeBron James has moved on from one of his signature moves, one dating back to his days in Cleveland: the powder toss. These days -- on the nights he plays -- he waits out warmups on the midcourt line, intensely staring at the floor. Over the past few weeks, however, four of his teammates have resurrected his ritual, tossing the powder together as they gather underneath. "I think it was mostly J.J.," Ray Allen said of James Jones. "We just started doing it," Jones said, also referring to Mike Miller and Rashard Lewis. "I had never used it. Nothing special." ... "It's part of the routine now," Lewis said.

You do realize you're in for it if they don't win the title right?

It never was LeBron's to start with. All he did was took it from Michael Jordan. The only difference was Michael did it to the Bull's radio broadcasting team. Not to show up the other team.

True. MJ showed up the other team in a variety of other ways.

I thought it was funny that the Bulls broadcast team pulled out the gas masks one of those times Jordan did his ritual.

We are all in for it, though I can see a few bumps along the way from a few squads and if they stay hot, they can shoot Miami out of the title.

The Knicks are 1, the Thunder are another.

Either get hot and STAY hot, they can beat the Heat...but the defense of Chandler will be key for the NYK.

For the record, although I am obviously pulling for my Knicks to keep rolling forever, I don't know if this year is the year. I'm just enjoying the run.

Every night they would try something different. Johnny "Red" Kerr once put on a hat with a fan to blow the powder back at Jordan. Jordan would just smile as he clapped the powder right in front of them.

If you don't know the Heat are going to 3 peat by now, you will never know. It is not a matter of when, but how many games it will take to do it. I say this year's roster does it in 18 games.

And if they fall short you'll take the coward's way out again and not show up here for months.
