08:11 AM ET 04.11 | With speculation swirling that Blake Griffin and Chris Paul were at odds, the Clippers leaders decided to address the matter. The gist of the conversation being the Clippers fate rested on their shoulders, and that their actions from that point on would set the tone for the entire team. "We talked about how we always need to be on the same page. We always need to be communicating," Griffin said. ... Paul agreed. "It definitely starts with me and Blake," Paul said "On the offensive end and the defensive end. When me and him are on the same page everyone else has no choice but to fall in line. Me and Blake realize we have to bring the energy every night and everyone else will feed off on it."

QUOTE(#1):

What does " me and Blake realize we have to bring the energy every night"Blake has been around for 5 years, cp even longer.....And they finally have the epiphany that they need to play hard?

They're just being a leader and get on the same page. Having tensions at this time of the year is bad.

Yup. Remember when that happened to the Lakers and Detroit ended up with the title?

I fully remember that. And they said Laker drama is good. It's never a good thing.

I don't mean to devalue Detroits efforts or minimize their accomplishment, but the Lakers were stacked and although the Pistons certainly beat them, the Lakers did as much or more to beat themselves.

Cp3 is a victum of his own greatness. You can put any 5 around him and he'll take them to the playoffs. But cp3 never had blake included a dependable second go to guy. Until he's provided with one he will always come up short. Clips are fun to watch but there far from title contenders.....

David West disagrees.

Really?? david west, that's how great cp3 is. He made people like you think david west was good for about 3 yrs. Not a go to guy gave the same blake gives. Maybe even better interior d by west, but would u say west is better then blake. i doubt it, and blake isn't a go to guy either.

But you know what? The Piston could only play the team put in front of them. The Lakers excuses are their own (not that I heard them making excuses but you know what I mean). Detroit won it fair and square.

QUOTE(#12):

West has helped Indiana.

Before west indy was a one and done team as they are now. Fool you in the regular season and fold in the playoffs. I get what you your saying yes west is a help to any team. But he was in n.o. he was the second option to cp3. Your not winning anything with west as your second option to get you points when you need them. That hornets team had no buisness doing the things they did, cp3 is a best. But i look at the clippers and see the hornets. Look good during the season but don't have anything to make a deep run. Besides cp3 your telling me in crunch time blake is gonna be the guy to get you points when cp3 is doubled or tripled??? blake ain't rerady for that he has no post up game.

That was Kobe's fault ... and this is not intended to be part of the runnuing joke.
