08:12 AM ET 04.11 | Not far removed from Denard Span's "Tweeting as I'm in traffic hoping to get pulled over so that I can get to the field quicker #omg" tweet on Tuesday, D.C. traffic is again in the news. The Nationals' 7:05 p.m. start time tonight was pushed back 15 minutes to 7:20 because -- this is serious -- the umpiring crew led by chief Tom Hallion were stuck in traffic on the way to the park and did not arrive in time. Again, that's not a joke: The umpires are late. I know the cherry blossoms are nice, fellas, but people want to see a ballgame here. Maybe try Metro next time.

That is why you ride the Metro in DC. And there is a stop right by the stadium.

Too bad for the White Sox the umpires showed up. I guess too bad for the White Sox Gavin Floyd was pitching too.
