Should Halladay be on a short leash?

08:15 AM ET 04.11 | In the case of Roy Halladay and his ballooning ERA, Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. insists, "Doc will figure it out." Halladay has been bruised to the tune of a 14.73 ERA in his first two starts of the season. ... This is not spring training anymore. Results count. It is reasonable to wonder how long the Phils can afford to stick with Halladay if he doesn't start pitching better. "He'll get as much time as he needs," Amaro said. "If he needs 30 starts he'll get it. As long as he's healthy and he keeps working at it -- as much as he needs." Halladay has struggled since the middle of spring training and hasn't come close to figuring it out in two regular-season starts.

If he keeps on having the pitching lines that he has been having since spring training? Then, yes, short leash it is.

HE should be on the first train to the glue factory.

At some point it's a reasonable leash or a long leash - not a short leash. He'd already be out of the rotation if he were on a short leash.

Give him a couple of more starts...if he still struggles then he should be placed on the DL...send him to Clearwater so he can try and work it out..

this guy would need to be sended to the minor system, the GM can say whatever it pleases him except he its not helping his rotation with halladays albastros season,,,,
