08:24 AM ET 04.11 | For the second time in as many weeks, the Bruins are concerned about a top player with a head injury. There was nothing official as far a diagnosis went and no update available after Boston's 5-4 win over the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center, but Brad Marchand absorbed an Anton Volcenkov elbow to the head with less than five minutes to go in the second period. The head shot knocked him out of the game and leaves a lot of question marks surrounding his availability. The Bruins agitator immediately [fell] to the ice and needed assistance getting up from his teammates before he wandered down the runway toward the dressing room with wobbly legs.

Took it right in the ear...didn't look good.

Nor did Taylor Hall's baseball swing slash last night that didn't get called!

Agitator??? He's the B's top goal scorer on a team that has had difficulty scoring.

April 11, 2013  08:37 AM ET

BTW: it was an ugly win for the B's last night but it's still 2 points. TO's remain a huge obstacle for them.

this is getting out of hand. the players...the very ones that complain about softening the game....are in full control of this....

Even though he is a B, I love this guy. Sorry to see he was injured. Get well soon, at least after TOR and BOS meet in the playoffs

Absolutely. Maybe it's just me but it seems like these things are coming up more and more often this year. I can't remember a year where injuries, expecially head injuries, were so prevalent.

I wonder if Hall will get any supplemental discipline? With some of the Mickey Mouse stuff they're penalizing now that swing deserved at least 5 games.

Not the first time Volcenkov buries his elbow into someone's head. I'm curious to see what Sheriff Shahanan will have to say about this.

He has a coin at the ready just waiting to be flipped!

Or maybe this week it's the dart board!
