01:03 PM ET 04.11 | The Seattle Seahawks and free-agent cornerback Antoine Winfield are reportedly "closing in" on a deal that could give the team one of the best secondaries in the league, according to ESPN's Ed Werder. Winfield was a first-round pick out of Ohio State in the 1999 draft by the Buffalo Bills. He spent five years with the Bills before signing with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent, where he spent the next nine seasons. He is now entering his 15th season and in his career he has accounted for 972 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 27 interceptions -- two of which were returned for touchdowns -- and 89 passes defensed. The Seahawks already have one of the top cornerback duos in Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner and the addition of Winfield as their third corner would have the potential to give them one of the best defensive backfields in the league. In a division with the San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals, all sporting strong-armed quarterbacks, having three cornerbacks capable of going one-on-one against some of the league's top receivers goes a long way.

I read he is still considering the Vikes as in bidding war. Hey, if someone wants you and offers you da money take it. If you don't take it, then you have another agenda altogether and that agenda is MO MONEY.
