08:40 PM ET 04.11 | The Ohio State Buckeyes have rewarded their team with "12-0" rings to commemorate their undefeated season. Ohio State was one of two teams to finish with an undefeated regular season record, but due to a one-year posteseason ban, they could not compete for a national championship. However, the school has done its best to honor the student-athletes who helped lead the team to 12-0 by putting an "undefeated season" banner in the Woody Hayes Center and the aforementioned rings.

We're waiting for some of those rings to turn up on Ebay! :D

If they didn't "cheat" those rings might actually mean something...

OK... How many of the players who completed 12 victories also committed the infractions which earned tOSU the Bowl ban? For those who were not involved in "Tattgate," receiving some recognition for their accomplishments (which were capped due to no fault of their own) takes the sting out of "paying for the sins of others." A celebration is in order, and huge, gaudy rings have been a part of football for a long, long time.

I'm sorry TM I don't agree. If you are wearing the Ohio State Uniform you are a representative of the University (who is being puished for their "infractions"). The players are part of it whether they deserve it or not and to honor their acomplishment seems hypocritical to me. Might as well just give "the finger" to the NCAA and College Football in general... at least that is how I see it...

At the rate Michigan football is going next year they might be handing out 0-12 rings to go with their basketball team's "We Amost Did It! (again)" t-shirts.

About the same amount of players that committed infractions at USC, except USC didn't go undefeated that year!!! :-)

OT, by this, do you aver that players on the 2012 Buckeye team were among those involved in TattGate? Who?

April 12, 2013  12:07 PM ET

@therealMantiTeo told me Notre Dame players got the same rings.

How many players on the USC 2010, 2011 team (that were banned from bowl games) were involved in the Reggie Bush case????

You're not making sense, my friend. USCw's situation is irrelevant to the question of players guilty of prior transgressions playing on the 2012 tOSU team. Do you know that Tattgaters played for tOSU last season, and if so, who are they?
