06:07 PM ET 04.11 | The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are trying to back out of a 2014 matchup with the Arizona State Sun Devils, and ASU's athletic director was none too happy. Steve Patterson said that Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick didn't discuss the matter with him and that he believed he didn't honor his word. Notre Dame is planning to play at least five ACC teams as part of their new arrangement with the conference in 2014, and the Arizona State game had to be jettisoned to make room.
