Fallen Angels missing Torii Hunter's leadership?

09:52 AM ET 04.13 | Mike Scioscia has already had a team meeting, and I wish I could have seen the grin on the face of Torii Hunter in Detroit when he heard that. Hunter was the Angels' yin to Scioscia's going yang on everyone. Without Hunter, I worry the Angels will have no soul or voice of reason after listening to Scioscia speak. The loss of a team leader like Hunter for economic concerns is one more reason why Angry Arte is nothing like the man of the people as he was initially portrayed. "I tell you what," Moreno said last September on the radio station he owns, "if we don't figure out a way to re-sign [Hunter], we're going to get hung, aren't we?"

Was that baseless speculation or baseball speculation?

Take heart Arte, Wells is investing wisely that $31 million you are sending him. A sort of silver lining if you would.

Quality player, Hunter. I'm surprised he just reached 2k hits.

Angels have more problems than Hunter could have fixed.

It's true. They never did win anything when Hunter was on the team. I still think they are the team to beat in the AL, but... they're not playing very good right now.

There are light problems and there are serious problems, the angels can't figureout where in the world they are standing, it seems the games had been played without any passion or motivation at all, Andy yet the pitching coach still in the angels organisation, the question is for how long before the halos cut him loose?

The boss has been very patient till now, but halos would need to put some w's in the board or faced concecuences ,,,

Okay, but it is a long season.

April 13, 2013  12:29 PM ET

Ok, if you say so, but where did all that money go? To The Non Leaders? I would strongly suggest hiring a NEW GM!

April 13, 2013  12:31 PM ET

Mike Sciocia has a hard job in the halos team, should the team continue in decline as they did it last year? Not good news should be expected''..,

April 13, 2013  12:36 PM ET

The only good news in the pitching rotation, is that blaton replaced Ervin Santana as a home run albastros,, and the offense just left to Bahamas for a long vacations... Should the manager use his minor leaguers now? I mean in spring training the manager use alot the minor leaguers, and got positive results,,:-)

The Yankees are playing the baseball game at the Bronx speed,, Yankees may be old in quality players, but the aged players is not stopping their good baseball strategy in every game, :-) :-) :-) :-)
