Will Senators chase David Clarkson?

10:23 AM ET 04.13 | If they can somehow find it in their budget, this summer the Senators should target a winger that was a member of the opposition Friday night. They should go hard as hell after New Jersey's David Clarkson, if and when he becomes an unrestricted free agent. At 29, he'd fit nicely into GM Bryan Murray's long-range plan. Would Clarkson break the bank? At a current salary of $3 million, he shouldn't. The Senators will have other expenses to meet as well, but they'd be freeing up $5.5 million by saying so long to Sergei Gonchar.

Ottawa better be very careful. The last Clarkson to reside there cost an awful lot of money.

Clarkson would be a good fit for anyone. Good size, toughness, and scoring touch

Don't forget he joined the "You Can Play" project after locking out half the season. Oh, the irony.

Should be a great indicator of where both teams are. The two games left between them are going to go a long way towards deciding playoff seedings.

I agree Danny. And I'm betting nobody checks Grabo from behind.

No matter what happens, all I hope for is a Habs Bruins playoff matchup. Still raw from the sweep!

I'd love to call the GG the most useless posting in government, but then you remember that we have an unelected senate and I want to eat a bucket of ice cream while looking at my tax bill.

Won't that freeze your assets?

The night before last Jokkinen had a really nice backhand deflection for the Pens.
