Jets should release Tim Tebow, says Jeff Garcia

12:37 PM ET 04.13 | Jeff Garcia doesn't see much of a future for Tim Tebow with the New York Jets. The four-time Pro Bowler doesn't think Tebow is a real competitor in the Jets' quarterback battle and if Garcia was in charge, the team would cut Tebow before April 15. "If there's going to be competition at the position, it's not going to come from Tim Tebow," Garcia told USA TODAY Sports. "Having Tebow there (last season) just became more of a distraction, more of a circus show. Obviously, it's their decision. But from an outsider looking in, having Tebow there doesn't bring anything positive. It just brings distraction." Garcia has been working with Mark Sanchez, helping him learn the West Coast offense, but this is still the same Sanchez that was an unmitigated disaster a year ago. If Sanchez slips again, Garcia thinks David Garrard or Greg McElroy will be the quarterbacks in the running to take over as the Jets starter, essentially making Tebow the fourth quarterback in New York.

And the Garcia/Sanchez "love in" continues!

This was a non-thread before. If it gets play for a few more days we just might be able to figure out whatever hidden meanings the insistent reporter at USAToday doesn't think we've gotten so far. We should study. If not, this might never go away.

So. Study Hall. Suggested viewing. 1) Buttfumble play. There was obviously some hidden meaning in the 'football to butt' action that has significance for fans, the team, and football as a larger organization. Huh? Don't ask me. At least not till I've watched it a few dozen more times and can formulate more of an esoteric opinion.

By the way. I don't recall Garcia ever utilizing that particular muscle group on a play in quite that way. Who taught Sanchez that? It wasn't Pete Carroll. As strange as it looks, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a touchdown pass POSSIBLE from there, as it sure isn't an expected 'football move'. Now THAT is a question! Was it a 'football move'?

Who cares what Garcia says???

Well now that new Pope is in place, Tebow's going to once again play Football, good for him!!!
