05:09 PM ET 04.13 | It has been reported by Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News that the New York Jets are interested in trading for New Orleans Saints running back Chris Ivory. The Saints put a second-round tender on the restricted free agent running back, but the Jets are hoping to give up less than that to obtain Ivory. Ivory visited the Jets facility on Friday and they were impressed with the running back, but they are not interested in giving up their 39th overall pick in the draft for him. What the Jets are looking to do is come to an agreement with the running back and with the Saints for a trade for his services. With a lack of playmakers in the backfield, Chris Ivory would be a great addition to the Jets roster. Chris Ivory is fast, strong, agile and, when given the chance, has proved he is a capable running back that can make the big plays.

He plays hard. If my team had a 2nd round pick to exchange (and the money), that would be a nice pick up. Oh well.

He is UFA next year. Ya don't trade a high pick for a guy you might have one year only. Need a sign and trade deal, but the guy missed time with injuries before. He is cheap, saints might as well keep him and Jets can draft a RB. they are not worth what they used to be.

The guy cannot stay on the field for two strait years. Yes, the saints would take less than a two pick. you bet they would.

Hard to believe the Jets will find 52 players willing to play in that mess.
