08:53 PM ET 04.14 | As the Oakland Raiders try to find their third quarterback, Vince Young is a players that is being considered. Young was released by the Buffalo Bills before the start of the 2012 regular season and did not play a game last year. Now Young may have found a partner for his comeback. Last season the Raiders used both Terrelle Pryor and Matt Leinart as the third quarterbacks. Leinart was not re-signed, so the search for a third quarterback to battle Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor is underway. NFL.com Ian Rapoport reports that Young worked out with the Raiders and looked good. The last time Young played meaningful football was with Philadelphia in 2011. He made three starts passing for 866 yards, four touchdowns and nine interceptions. The 29-year-old Young played the five previous seasons with the Tennessee Titans and was in and out as the starting quarterback. His accuracy has been a question mark throughout his career.

Everyone deserves another, but just keep Young away from the Cheese Cake Factory.

I am glad he has worked himself back to another chance. I hope he does well with it.

I do too, but I don't see it happening. Maybe in Oakland, but if VY doesn't lock down a spot with the Raiders this year I think his NFL career is over.

Hopefully he's taken his time away from football to invest in himself... like learning to read. He's already broke while playing, can you imagine how bad he'll be once he's 100% out of the game? He's going to need some education to fall back on and you KNOW he didn't get that at UT.

Last Chance Saloon, Vince...

Don't screw this up.

April 15, 2013  06:48 AM ET

He's already had three chances (Tennessee, Philadelphia, Buffalo)... this should be his last.

The raiders can and have done a lot worse at the QB position.

I actually see this as a good fit for some reason.

CAPTION- Vince Young answers the question, "How big of a flop has your career been?" "This big!"

In other news .. 25 new Applebee's restaurants have opened in the city of Oakland.

I swear I just saw a headline over the weekend that the Raiders had reached a deal with Seneca Wallace. It was so depressing that I didn't even read the story. Not sure if this is more or less depressing news. Maybe this is a good fit - god knows, both Young and Raiders need help.

I'd take Seneca Wallace over Young all day and every day. As pitiful as it is, neither are really worth anything though. Just to me, Young is more worthless than Wallace. How tall are they? Can either of them play WR? Not like the Raiders have any of those either really. Maybe Wallace or Young could play there?

Al always valued speed over just about any other quality. Who knew speed was so important in the race to mediocrity?

April 15, 2013  09:48 AM ET

Good fit...failure of a team picks up failure quarterback! Are we sure Al Davis died?

Wallace played WR pretty well during the run to the 2005 Super Bowl, including a circus catch of a long bomb. He was only two years into the league then. Probably two steps slower now.

HA!

he deserves a second look and it's puzzling that he's not getting more interest. wish dallas would give him a look, but JJ is too blind. he's never been linked to drugs, violence or criminal offenses. he's had some maturity issues, but those can be dealt with. he has as much potential as many current backups today so i hope he gets that shot again. another season with no team and he's probably done.

Ummmm......Are there two April Fool's Days in one year now? Maybe I missed the memo. He's had a second look, and a third and a fourth (and so on), AND is it really puzzling that he's not getting more interest? He sucks, he's too immature for the position, and he's burned ALOT of bridges now. One of the few QB's that can make Michael Vick look like an accurate thrower. I'd go so far as to say it's puzzling that he's gotten as many chances as he has.

Better dumb down the play book.
