07:56 AM ET 04.15 | Righty Johnny Cueto's loss could wind up being lefty Tony Cingrani's gain this week. The Cincinnati Reds intend to place [Cueto] on the 15-day disabled list, according to a major league source. Cueto, who left Saturday night's game at Pittsburgh with one out in the fifth inning, has a strained latissimus dorsi muscle, the source said. The injury initially was described as a right triceps pain. The latissimus dorsi begins in the lower back and attaches to the underside of the shoulder. ... The loss of Cueto could lead the Reds to promote 23-year-old [Cingrani's], who has struck out 26 and walked only two in 14-1/3 innings at Triple-A Louisville this season.

Although losing Cueto would not be advantageous to the team, if you ask me the Reds need to worry more about their bullpen then the starters after that debacle from yesterday.
They got 7 quality starts out of 11 games and a team Whip of about 1.35 so far this season so I kinda would guess the problem is not with the starters.

As a Fantasy owner that has Cueto on his team, I'm very unhappy.

The Bullpen will be fine......at this time last year the Reds where 4-8 and had some issues with the bullpen they will work themselfs out.

Losing Cueto to this type of injury has to be a bigger concern, since these are the muscles affected by the twisting of the body ,which Cueto do's every pitch. But early in the season it should be O.K. and gives them a chance to see how Cingrani can do since the last year and this year he is unhittable at the minor leagues.

The Starters have been really exceptional so I think if Cingrani can give a few quality starts they will be fine.
