Vols rule out Marlin Lane indefinitely

06:33 PM ET 04.15 | Tennessee Volunteers running back Marlin Lane has been absent throughout the spring, and we now have a clearer understanding of why. Initially it was reported that Lane was "dealing with a family illness" when he missed practice last week, but when he wasn't present again on Thursday, reporters began to ask about his status with the team. Assistants were directing the reporters to head coach Butch Jones, who ultimately said Lane was out for disciplinary reasons. Jones did not give a timetable for Lane's return, so there is some doubt that he will ever put on a Vols uniform again.

Tennessee didn't lose the first one.

[In florid prose, insert admonishment against shizzling up a Tennessee thread.]

What happened to the first Lane?

Perhaps UTk could use that device on cars that warn you when you drift out of your lane? LOL.

They are nice, but a real headache in New York City. :)

It's clear that Jones did not tell the whole truth. I'm not sure that is quite the same as lying. For all we know, the young man really did have a "family illness" issue last week.

Yep, sure could've. Time will tell.

I am sure you understand that, as a Gator, I am contractually obligated to shizzle up any UTk thread with a reasonably large amount of stink, stank, stunk. The same goes for UGaly and FreeShoesU threads, and the occasional LUS, Bammer, Aubie threads too.

I expect the same in return.

And just because it is fun to get reactions from TM, I will assist you in this effort.

Whistle just blew, back to the salt mines.

Smack and other obligations of alumni are understood and require no explanation. So it is as you belly draggin' swamp beasts are compelled to fling shizzle at certain rival programs and their fans, so I am obligated to admonish against such sizzle and reply as I'm able when you and others dutifully target Tennessee. It's the yin and yang of CFB.

Shizzle away, good sir, but I'd prefer you keep your yang to yourself.
