06:36 PM ET 04.15 | There is some unfortunate news in NASCAR today after reports surfaced that a man shot himself in the head during the NRA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday. The Associated Press reported the tragedy that happened late in yesterday's race. This probably isn't what the NRA had in mind when they agreed to sponsor a NASCAR race. The NRA has not commented on the situation yet, but it probably wasn't a good idea to have Kyle Busch shooting guns in to the air shortly after a man committed suicide in the infield. Then again, sensitivity has never been the NRA's forte.

This post was obviously composed by someone that does not agree with the NRA. If this fan would have shot himself at the Food City 500 or Coca Cola 600 would this post have been written? Probably not. My sympathy to the fan though.

No matter how we look at it, it is ironic that he shot himself at a race sponsored by NRA

The suicide has zero to do with the sponsorship issue, but leave it to some leftist hack writer to pretend it does.As for the insensitivity issue, I doubt very seriously that anyone in the winnner's circle was even aware that the incident had happened.

fully agree
