08:08 AM ET 04.17 | Dunk City may soon have a new sheriff in town. Florida Gulf Coast's search for a new coach has generated interest from some high-profile assistants hoping to replicate the success of Andy Enfield, who left for USC after leading the Eagles to the Sweet 16. A source close to the search told ESPN.com on Tuesday the school is primarily focusing on four candidates: Kansas assistant Joe Dooley, Ohio State assistant Chris Jent, Oklahoma assistant Steve Henson and FGCU assistant Marty Richter. Dooley joined Kansas' staff shortly after Bill Self was hired in April 2003. He's been one of the primary recruiters for a program that has averaged 30 wins over the past 10 seasons. Dooley was the head coach at East Carolina from 1995-99.

That may yet be their fate, but you know the school wishes to leverage it's recent success. For the salaries they can cough up, "stepping stone" status is achievable. The odds may not favor them, but only fools wouldn't try.
