08:13 AM ET 04.17 | The Bruins, postponed in the aftermath of Monday's Boston Marathon bombing, return to the ice Wednesday against Buffalo. The B's are presented with an opportunity to aid the city's healing process the way New York's sports teams brought a little joy to that area in the fall of 2001. "That's what you want to do. You want to entertain, obviously," Patrice Bergeron said. "And that's the sport that we're in right now is to make sure that you bring joy and energy in people's lives." ... Forward Shawn Thornton lives in Boston year-round and has become heavily involved in the community. "I mean, hopefully (tonight's game) can take people's minds off things that happened (Monday) at least for a few hours."

Since the Ducks already have Lovejoy, the Bruins will settle for "joy"

April 17, 2013  09:37 AM ET

The Bruins, Sox and Celtics will all help Boston get thru this. A bit of normalcy goes a long way in helping to get over these events.

Very true, they want us looking over our shoulders wherever we go, like they have to. Not gonna happen.

sorry to say, but it has in many ways.
The way we fly, go to games, take the trains...all changed because of it.
It colours most laws we pass and not a day goes by where it isn't mentioned by someone

BGM lives in Canada and I believe Rex is from New Hampshire. I'm not sure about Uncle Teabags.

Well, looks like they have a suspect in custody. Let's hope it's the right person.

Just once I would wish no one would release information until there is at least minimal confirmation. Although I blame hysterical guesses more on the "news" media than anybody else.

Just to be clear, I don't think anyone has an "evil" motive. Bur the desire to be "first" overwhelms everthing else. Please, please get confirmation and don't print a headline on every whisper you hear.
