01:06 PM ET 04.17 | New York Giants running back Andre Brown has lofty expectations heading into the 2013 season, and why not? Brown rushed for a team-high eight touchdowns last season before breaking his leg against the Green Bay Packers in late November, ending his season prematurely. "I have to outdo last year's stats. Eight touchdowns ??? I want 22. I want 1,300 (yards) this year. That's the steppingstone. I have to erase last year's stats and show I can do better." Last season, Brown got some real playing time for the first time since he entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick in 2009 by the Giants out of North Carolina State. In 10 games, Brown amassed 385 rushing yards at 5.3 yards per carry, and caught 12 passes as well, giving a glimpse of what he can do. This year, Brown won't have Ahmad Bradshaw to compete with after he left to find a new home on the free agent market, but will have to deal with 2012 first-round pick David Wilson.

Giants don't run the ball half that much.

April 17, 2013  01:32 PM ET

For the last two years the Giants' running game has been one of the worst in the league. Their OL is old and is not built for doing much other than protecting Eli. The play calling hasn't been all that stellar, either. It is going to be very hard for any RB to get those kind of stats with this team.

Yahtzee. He can't stay on the field long enough. He needs to change his name to IR Brown IR Down.

I like his play, but he is always hurt. always.
