10:56 PM ET 04.17 | Those who thought they'd seen the last of the Zen Master might soon be proven wrong. Phil Jackson is interested in returning to the NBA next season in some capacity, a source close to him told ESPN on Wednesday. This does not necessarily mean that he will try and capture a 12th NBA Championship as a head coach, however. Jackson has already mentioned that he would consider a front office position, perhaps similar to Pat Riley's status with the Miami Heat or Larry Bird's with the Indiana Pacers. ESPN said Jackson is "intrigued" by such a position, but it is unlikely that it would be with the Los Angeles Lakers ??? the team Jackson led to five titles. Jackson does not already have an opportunity on the table and most recently shied away from a chance to coach the Brooklyn Nets. He told Charley Rosen of SheridanHoops.com in January that he "has no intention of ever coaching again."
