08:14 AM ET 04.19 | A week after Jeff Garcia came to Mark Sanchez's defense, Steve Clarkson came to Tim Tebow's. [Clarkson] presented a conspiracy theory, saying the Denver Broncos traded Tebow to the Jets -- not his hometown Jacksonville Jaguars -- because they knew he'd fail in New York. ... Tebow and Clarkson aren't nearly as close as Clarkson indicated, according to a source, who said Clarkson "sought out" the quarterback and "begged" Tebow to work with him. They trained together for only a day-and-a-half, the source said, not three days as previously reported. "He was just looking for publicity," the source said of Clarkson. "The entire thing smells." Clarkson also said he worked on Tebow's throwing mechanics and footwork.

Wow, that was close. I thought we'd go a day without a Tebow and/or Jets story. The world makes sense now.

You know we can't drive by a train wreck without looking. So do the interns.

Soap Opera!

So what does Tebow say? Did anyone bother to ask or are we just supposed to keep on guessing?

April 19, 2013  10:12 AM ET

So Tebow was traded to NY, not Jacksonville, because Denver knew he'd fail in NY?

Conspiracy theorists should just move To Roswell and leave the rest of us alone.

One of the things I like about Tebow is that he doesn't "say" much of anything. Contrast that to his teammate Revis and you'll see why I prefer Tebow's approach.

Jeff Garcia and Steve Clarkson coming to Sanchez's and Tebow's defense... Not exactly heavy hitters in NFL circles so if this is the best these two can come up with we may be seeing the beginning of the McElroy years in NY.
