08:15 AM ET 04.19 | Aaron Rodgers brought the funny Thursday night to the second annual Wisconsin Sports Awards. Called to the stage of the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee to accept the Inspirational Player of the Year award for teammate James Jones, Rodgers was asked about the future of the team at receiver now that Greg Jennings has left for the Minnesota Vikings. "Who?" replied Rodgers. The crowd reacted with 'oooh' when Rodgers replied, "must be some Vikings fans in here." People got it and booed on cue. ... Later in the awards show, after Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun collected his Professional Athlete of the Year award, Rodgers tried to claim it for himself. "They said I couldn't win this award two years in a row," Rodgers stammered.

Good Lord, is that lame. Wisconsin Sports Awards? Wow.

I bet when they get them all up on the stage for a picture, the photographer says "Say Cheese!"

I actually like Rodgers but I tend to think he's got a little more Cutler in him than most people realize.

Good thing Rodgers is good at his day job cause he's a bust as a comedian.

sure hes cocky, like jay, but other than that and being professional qbs thats all they have in common. rodgers has been injured several times - broken foot and seperated shoulder - and hes stayed in the game to show his teammates his commitment...jay just rides stationary bikes when his team needs him most.

Rodgers has a chip on his shoulder from a history of being overlooked and underestimated. He is still intent on proving wrong everyone who undervalued him. It's made him a pretty good QB in the process.

What a sad statement this is:
" Ryan Braun collected his Professional Athlete of the Year award."

What would he have said if he was there?
I would like to thank my attorneys, without their help I would not be here?"

Should have thanked that courier too.

High testosterone? Me? I'm just a normal, healthy, strapping guy.

You all have hit it on the head with Ryan Braun. What a scheister. Mr "I've been vindicated". My ****. More like got off on a very lame technicality. Will never respect that turd. Not because he used, or because he was caught, but how he's acted like Mr. Clean and claims that his getting off proves he never did anything wrong.

ask Rodgers "how's the weather is down there" and you will see him go into full on angry munchkin mode.

Rodgers is a good QB and Cutler is just average.

Braun was never suspended for steroid use. What is your point?

Neither was Barry Bonds....

Wasn't talking QB ability.

I think the point is that Braun didn't get suspended because of a technicality, a legal loophole that his attorney exploited to get the charges (and suspension) dismissed. So it's a sad statement that a juicer in the eyes of most fans (outside of those that are enablers, which is what your comment sort of shades you as being a member of that group), got an award for "Athlete of the Year".

If 50 had said it was an "ironic" thing, would that have gone down a little easier?

What are you talking about? Rodgers actually shows up for the post-season.

Honestly I don't think Braun was actually on something (though I think there's another Brewer or two who actually are), but I won't deny that it's pretty damn hard to defend Braun. The main thing I say is that while there are shady things with Braun's claims to innocence, there were some shady things on MLB's side of that whole thing too.
