Joakim Noah limited at best for Bulls-Nets series

08:14 AM ET 04.20 | In stark contrast to the exuberance with which he plays, an extremely downcast Joakim Noah admitted the plantar fasciitis in his right foot will affect him severely during the Bulls-Nets first-round playoff series -- if he plays at all. "It's really disappointing for me," Noah said. "You work really hard in the summer and season to be ready for situations like this. Just to be hurt is really disappointing." Neither Noah nor coach Tom Thibodeau would rule Noah out for Saturday's first game of the NBA playoffs at Brooklyn. But all signs point to veteran Nazr Mohammed starting against All-Star Brook Lopez and a limited role for Noah at best.

If Noah plays hurt, and Rose doesn't wanna play fit, Rose will forever be tarnished and will commend zero respect with the Bulls and any other team.
I think if the Bulls have any courage they should suspend Rose without pay, since he is fully fit to be on the court.

Good luck with that. There is no way that the Bulls will suspend or fine their franchise player. The Superstars rule the NBA dontcha know.

QUOTE(#14):

they are scared that he will get pissed and want out.and rose is already tarnished, unfortunatelywe now see that rose views himself and his future over team and his teammates. No one will forget this and I think this will REALLY hurt the bulls int he long run as why would FAs want to come and play with a guy who is 'selfish'.as mma said above - he should've been shut down if they had no intention of having him return

Jgb, I understand where you're coming from, man. As a fan of basketball, I want d rose back out there. That would make the playoffs (and the city of Chicago) so much more exciting and interesting right now. There is definitely a part of me that wants him back right now.

BUT:

1. Rose - and every other player - has the right and responsibility to look out for themselves and do what's best for them. NO ONE else will. When he is washed up or can't play anymore because of injury or Father Time or whatever, the bulls, the fans and everyone else will be ready to send him packing. There is no loyalty in this game. You have to look out for you.

2. I don't buy this stuff about his teammates being mad at him and no other FAs will want to come to Chicago because he isn't back yet. Not one teammate has spoken out against him AND other players have come out in support of him (Melo - for example). Players understand.

3. Lastly, if Noah would have sat out and wanted till he was 100% earlier, he would be playing right now. He stated this yesterday in an interview. That he felt stupid because he didn't handle the injury in the right way. He is a perfect example of why you wait till you are fully good and confident in yourself instead of risking re-injuring yourself.

Correct, Rose is really making his teammates mad and nobody has the b*lls to say anything to tick him off.

Are you friends and talk regularly with the players on the Bulls? Like how do you know that his teammates are mad at him? Can you put a link up of an article where a teammate - or anyone from around the league - has spoken out against him?

Credit to the ChiTown organization, their coach and the players who've stepped up to put a competitive team on the floor despite the drama and the injuries. Only the Chicago fans will miss the Bulls if they don't upset the Nets. The NBA and much of the rest of the country will be glad to see Brooklyn succeed. Let's face it, either of them getting past the 2nd round is unlikely, so this series is relatively meaningless.
