Lakers to start two point guards?

03:20 PM ET 04.20 | The Los Angeles Lakers are mulling whether or not they should start Steve Nash and Steve Blake in the same backcourt to open up the series against the San Antonio Spurs. The Lakers "were leaning toward" starting both Blake and Nash, and the significance here is that they would be starting two point guards in the same backcourt. Nash is "very optimistic" that he will be able to play against the Spurs, so it sounds like Nash's hamstring is doing well. Blake has been hot of late, and he's outplayed Kobe Bryant's replacement at shooting guard, Jodie Meeks. In his last game against the Houston Rockets, Blake played in 48 minutes and had 24 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. He nailed all eight of his free throw attempts and looked decent from beyond the arc, but his overall shooting percentage was an inefficient 30 percent. Still, he was dishing out dimes, even grabbing boards, and Blake looked great replacing Nash while he was out with the hammy.

They still can't play defense against the Spurs guards. The Lakers frontline have to dominate at both ends of the court to give them a chance to win the series.

Steve Nash doesn't keep getting injured, he's old (there's a difference)2

Lakers fans are hoping Nash comes back for the playoffs. He had two epidural shots this week! They give those to women when they're about to pass a baby out of their body just so they'll be able to endure the excruciating pain. Nash ain't coming back.

Blake and Nash are going to be demolished... Green/Leonard/Ginobili/... all going to trash these little PG's.

At least SA is banged up a little as well. I am just hoping for Dwight to have some dominant games so he is in a good mood and signs an extension.
